Hey everyone, it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Five years to be exact. I’m back, and I’m ready to dive back into the world of blogging, especially as I continue my journey towards achieving my fitness goals.
To kickstart this new chapter, I’ve decided to take on the infamous 75 Hard Challenge. Starting on October 1st, I’ll be committing to 75 days of physical training, following a strict diet, drinking gallons of water, reading daily, and adhering to a no-excuses mentality.
I’ve chosen the 75 Hard Challenge because I believe it’s the perfect way to test my resilience, discipline, and commitment. It’s a mental and physical gauntlet that will push me to my limits. Also my lil cousin (Bri) told me she was about to do a version of the challenge herself.
I know, I know, I’m a bit late to the 75 Hard Challenge party. I actually craved the challenge last year but didn’t quite have the will power to dive in. However, I’m determined to make up for lost time and put in the work to achieve my fitness goals.
While the 75 Hard Challenge offers numerous benefits, it’s not without its challenges. Let’s explore some of the pros and cons:
Pros:
- The challenge is designed to build mental resilience and willpower. It forces you to confront your fears, overcome obstacles, and persevere through adversity. This mental toughness can translate to other areas of your life, such as work, relationships, and personal goals.
- Consistent workouts and a disciplined diet can lead to significant physical changes.
- The 75-day commitment can help establish healthy habits that last a lifetime.
- Completing the challenge provides a tremendous sense of achievement.
Cons:
- The challenge is demanding and can be physically and mentally exhausting.
- Adhering to the requirements can be time-consuming.
- If not approached with balance, the challenge could lead to burnout.
- If you know me, you know I live for a good bottle of red. Not having a glass of wine after a long day is going to be rough. I will find ways to cope!!! I got this!!
I’m excited to share my experiences with you throughout the 75 Hard Challenge. I’ll be providing an update at the half way mark; documenting my progress, and offering insights into the ups and downs of this transformative journey.
